things
to do

There's so much to see and do in Toodyay, you'll have an abundance of choices. From cafes and wineries, pubs and the bakery, your taste buds will be satisfied.

There are unique experiences you won't get elsewhere, like the Coca Cola Shop and Christmas 360, a north-pole wonderland that will tickle your inner child.

In the town centre, you'll find the Freemasons Hotel, Toodyay Tavern, Victoria Hotel, Toodyay Bakery, and other boutique cafes and restaurants.

If you're a lover of food and wine, check out Alicia Estate, Avonbrook Wines, Coorjinja Winery, York Wines or Briery Estate, or visit Esslemont Estate for certified organic olive oil products. For local wildlife, you'll see plenty at the Emu Farm or Roos at Sue's. For maps and walking trails, visit the Toodyay Visitor Centre for maps & more info.

If you want to explore with the kids, Duidgee park is only a short drive from the cottage where you'll find a large playground, skate park, and barbecue facilities. It's also home to the Toodyay Miniature Railway, a unique activity for the whole family. For an adventure packed activity, we highly recommend Hoddywell Archery Park.

For arts and craft, pop into Courtyard Antiques & Collectables for a wide selection of antiques, collectables, art & craft and jewellery, or check out Earth Sculptures Pottery for original sculptured garden art. You can also view a range of art at Sommerville Gallery or Margot Watkins (by appointment only).

If history is more your thing, we recommend visiting Newcastle Gaol, constructed in the 1860s, or Connor's Mill, a museum displaying working historic machinery and an interpretative display of the mill's operations and life.
